Calgary Green Line

The Project:

At 18-kms, Phase 1 is the longest LRT project and largest infrastructure investment in Calgary’s history, creating almost 20,000 jobs throughout construction, $2.2B in long-term city-shaping benefits and more than $6B in property value uplift by 2040.

The scope of the project includes:

  • 2km tunnel under the downtown core of Calgary

  • 2 new bridges over the Bow and Elbow rivers

  • 13 new stations at Eau Claire, 7th Ave SW, Centre St S, 4th St SE, Ramsay/Inglewood, 26 Ave SE, Highfield, Lynwood/Millican, Ogden, South Hill, Quarry Park, Douglas Glen & Shepard

  • A maintenance and storage facility to house and maintain the brand-new fleet of CAF Urbos 100 LRVs
