OMC 4

The Project

As part of TransLink’s SkyTrain transit network expansion projects, a vehicle fleet expansion has been identified by TransLink and BCRTC. To facilitate the increased fleet size, a new OMC Project will be the fourth operations and maintenance centre built to support the SkyTrain metro system in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia.

The OMC4 project will support the service requirements of the Broadway Subway Expansion and Surrey-Langley SkyTrain projects. The main elements of the project include constructing a rail connection from the site to the existing elevated guideway and developing the site for SkyTrain vehicle storage and maintenance with future provisions for expansion and facilities to carry out running maintenance and overhaul on the SkyTrain fleet.
